The portable simultaneous translation system (also known as bidule or Infoport) can be very useful when participants are required to move from one point to another (hospital or factory visits), in meetings with small groups where it is not possible to set up a soundproof booth or for interactive workshops and technical seminars.
It is a compact and quick to install digital equipment that offers exceptional flexibility.
However, it should be borne in mind that this is a system originally designed for sightseeing, so there is no soundproofing for interpreters and their voice can distract participants. Therefore, it cannot be compared to the installation of a professional simultaneous interpretation system.
